Singapore, March 7, 2012 Food lovers will have the rare opportunity to pick and choose from 50 signature dishes designed by award-winning international chefs at the upcoming Savour 2012 festival, which will be held in three weeks' time. Specially priced between $6 and $21, the gastronomic treats will be a fraction of what they normally cost at the chefs' restaurants. A stellar line-up of chefs, including Michelin-star recipients like Alain Passard (France) and Alvin Leung (Hong Kong), and renowned names like Enrique Olvera (Mexico), Virgilio Martinez (Peru) and Chan Kwok (Singapore) will cook up the dishes at the Gourmet Village section of the festival. Visitors are free to plan their own gastronomic trail from the three to four signature dishes offered by the chefs. Highlights include Bo Innovation's (Hong Kong) Molecular Xiao Long Bao, Central Restaurante's (Peru) traditional Andes-inspired Dover Sole and Clam Stew, and L'Arpege's (Paris) classic Sweet and Sour "12- flavoured" Tomato with Orange Blossom. In addition to sampling the chefs' signature treats, attendees can also look forward to participating in free celebrity chef masterclasses at the Gourmet Auditorium, free wine-tastings and a variety of culinary workshops from French pastry-making to whiskey tasting and latte art. At the Gourmet Market, festival goers can source for products not readily available in Singapore, such as Avocado Oil from New Zealand, Japanese edible 'candy toys', Indian-inspired Chai Latte syrup or even artisan bread. Savour 2012 will be held from March 30 to April 1, 2012. Tickets are priced at $40 (which includes $21 to spend at the event) for the afternoon session and $60 (which includes $30 to spend at the event) for the evening session. All ticketholders who make their purchase via SISTIC by March 10, 2012 will be eligible for a lucky draw to win a culinary trip to Paris courtesy of Air France. The prize includes a round-trip economy airfare for two to Paris, accommodation for 5 Days/4 Nights, and a luxurious meal by 3 Michelin-star Chef Alain Passard at his world-famous restaurant L'Arpege.
