Covelli
Basement 2/13-22, Orchard Central

Nestled in the busy Orchard Road shopping belt is a cosy enclave that melds together wining, dining, and, get this - shopping!

Covelli Italian Bistro and Wine Bar at basement two of Orchard Central is a quiet retreat from the long queues at restaurants in the area.

Tucked in a corner, Covelli features an 80-seater dining area, including a private room and a wine bar for functions, as well as a women's apparel store Esye, which showcases some of their clothing within the restaurant.

The concept of shopping while you wine or dine caters to busy professionals who want a place to eat and shop at their own pace and time without having to worry about long queues.

Dishes at Covelli are mainly modern Italian fare, with an emphasis on cream sauces. Created by former chef of Rider's Cafe, Mr Dean Ng, the menu is an assortment of salads, appetisers, pizzas, main courses, and desserts.

Mr Ng said that the cream-based dishes were requested by customers and he personally saw to the creation of various cream sauces.
