I went to the branch at Tanjong Katong and after eating it, my chest became really tight. I can only hazard that it must be the msg in the soup. I'd probably stay away from this place, delicious as it may be, because of my aversion and condition towards msg.

Jellybeans. You must be very weatlhy to say that Ng Ah Sio BKT is cheap. To me it is 5-star price in a 2-star location. I can eat BKT anywhere else for half the price and it tastes as good. I visited twice before Jumbo took over. After that my brother-in-law told me the price almost double plus GST and 10% service charge. I eat in restaurant only when the food is not available in Zhi Char stall.
